A8 Inter­laken East - Rugen Tunnel / Lütschine Under­pass

The A8 motorway bypasses lnterlaken and Wilderswil through two tunnels: the 2-tube Rugen tunnel and Lütschine underpass, which is used for oncoming traffic. These constructions were opened in 1988.

The technical equipment no longer met the current standards. Likewise,
the safety of the tunnel had to be improved for the users.
